Educators and youth organisations working together to create inclusive practices

We were honoured to bring together Shadene Keeling (Founder and CEO of The Free Talk Programme), Cameron Powell (Babbasa Trailblazer) and Teena Lashmore (Practitioner in the Criminal Justice Sector) to share inclusion insights and call for action to improve opportunity outcomes for our young people at our latest edition of the Youth Practitioners’ and Educators’ Forum held on 4 October hosted at City Academy Bristol.

The conversations focused on exploring how educators and youth organisations can work together to create inclusive practices, identify necessary additional support for young people. The overwhelming feedback highlights the need joined-up partnership work to enhance our services for young people with participant feedback indicating:

  • 100% of participants cite that the Forum helped you to foster connections for collaborative working and 92% gaining new insights

Feedback included “the feeling of positivity and community”, “lots of new learnings to build into our approach at work, really thought provoking and insightful”.
